Her Voice Defined the 1990s, and Now, You Can Witness It Live In Concert
Sarah McLachlan is one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters in entertainment with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. Now, Sarah travels from the arms of the angels to North Charleston for one night of live music.
Sarah McLachlan received immense commercial success through the 1990s, where she gained international recognition for her emotional ballads and mezzo-soprano voice stylings. McLachlan is perhaps best known for her landmark fifth album, the 10x-platinum Surfacing, which contained two Grammy Award-winning tracks: "Building a Mystery" and "Last Dance.” To date, Sarah has received eight Juno Awards and three Grammy Awards.
In addition to her personal artistic efforts, she founded the Lilith Fair tour showcasing female musicians which raised over $7 million for local and national charities over its 3 years and in 2002 founded her non-profit organization the Sarah McLachlan School of Music.
The school provides free afterschool music education for at-risk and underserved kids who otherwise would have no access to music programming. From an early age, music provided Sarah with the tools she needed to navigate the challenges she faced in her life, so she recognizes how important it is for every child to have those same opportunities.
Sarah McLachlan will perform on Monday, September 24th at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available for purchase online. Parking accommodations are available for an additional $10.
